About Me

I am a highly motivated Data Engineer with a unique blend of technical expertise and creative problem-solving skills. With a background in audio design and event management, I bring a diverse perspective to data engineering, excelling at developing scalable and efficient data solutions. I have a proven track record in building and optimizing data pipelines, driving ETL processes, and ensuring data integrity for analytics and business intelligence.

Currently, as a Data Engineer II at PDI Software, I design, implement, and maintain cloud-based data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including BigQuery, GCS, and Dataflow. I specialize in leveraging Python, SQL, and Airflow to create robust, automated workflows that streamline data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). I have extensive experience in working with large, complex datasets, and I play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, quality, and consistency across the data ecosystem.

My professional journey began with an immersive bootcamp at Coding Temple, where I honed my skills in full-stack development and data engineering. I further refined my expertise in cloud technologies and data architecture while contributing to data migration projects and system optimizations at PDI Software. I also bring experience from my time at Wavicle Data Solutions, where I worked with Spark, Talend, and AWS technologies to design and implement large-scale ETL pipelines.

In addition to my technical work, I have a strong foundation in documentation, process optimization, and mentoring junior engineers. I am passionate about continuous learning and am currently expanding my expertise in Snowflake, DBT, and data warehousing best practices.

Outside of work, I am an active board member of Chicago for Chicagoans, where I help organize accessible historical tours, reflecting my love for storytelling and sharing knowledge. I enjoy spending my free time at the gym, practicing flying trapeze, playing cello, and spending time with my cats.
